Pelosi Revives ‘Resistance’ Conspiracy Theory About Trump

With Trump consistently leading in the polls against Joe Biden, Democrats are turning back to an old standby in hopes of preventing another Trump term.

Russia. Russia. Russia.

During her MSNBC show, former White House Press Secretary spoke with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi about Donald Trump. During the segment, the former leader of the Democrats revived a crackpot theory about Donald Trump: he’s owned by Vladimir Putin.

Looks like we’re going to start partying like it’s 2016 all over again.

Pelosi was the first to raise the possibility, wondering aloud of Putin “What does he have on Donald Trump that he have to constantly be catering to Putin? Telling Putin go into these countries, NATO countries,” reported Mediate.

“What do you think? We’re all wondering this question, Speaker Pelosi, what do you think Putin has on him?” Psaki asked in reply. “I mean, it sure seems like something, as you’ve said a few times, given that he refuses to criticize him, that he seems to be a fanboy of him. Are you worried?”

“First of all, we must be sure that he does not step one foot into the white House. Not as president or not as anything. He has brought disgrace to the White House, to these presidents,” responded Pelosi before eventually getting around to answering Psaki’s query.

“I don’t know what he has on him, but I think it’s probably financial, I think it’s probably financial. Either something financial he has him on or something on the come,” she submitted.

The comments from the former Speaker of the House came in light of Trump’s comments on February 10 in which he glibly said he would encourage Russia to do “whatever the hell they want” to any NATO member country “that doesn’t meet spending guidelines on defense in a stunning admission he would not abide by the collective-defense clause at the heart of the alliance if reelected,” wrote CNN, causing panic among Russia hawks in both parties.

Pelosi’s theory about Trump’s Russia loyalty also came after an inopportune time for the CIA. A recent investigative report revealed that the CIA “cooked intelligence” in order to make it appear that Putin wanted Trump over Hillary in 2016.

It was all a lie perpetrated by pro-Hillary forces to make it appear that Trump was a “Manchurian candidate,” writes Michael Shellenberger and Matt Tiabbi in a new bombshell report.

“The Trump-Russia scandal made its formal launch on January 6th, 2017, when the office of the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper published what’s called an ‘Intelligence Community Assessment,’ or ‘ICA,’ as it’s universally known in Washington.

The report declared that Russia and Putin interfered in the 2016 presidential election to “denigrate” Hillary Clinton and “harm her electability,” thanks to their “clear preference for President-elect [Donald] Trump.”

‘They cooked the intelligence,’ says a source close to a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia scandal, whose full findings are being blocked from release. ‘They made it look like Putin supported Trump,’ the source added. ‘The evidence points the other way.’

Former CIA Director John Brennan and the ICA authors “embellished” their conclusion by upgrading unreliable sources to reliable, the source said. ‘They upgraded in the writing of their report to let those sources have more credibility and a higher rating. We caught them on 3-4 items where those people didn’t have a credible historic reporting line and changed the source rating for that Brennan report.’

On the other hand, Russians apparently saw Hillary as ‘manageable and reflecting continuity. It was a relationship they were comfortable with….there was no real evidence that Russia supported Trump. They were trying to make this bizarre case.’”

Fox News Host Jesse Watters interviewed the pair of journalists to explain what they found.

In 2019, special counsel Robert Mueller concluded his multi-year investigation into the Trump-Russia connection and, while he did not “exonerate” Trump, he announced that, “while multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign” did occur, he did not find evidence that Trump’s campaign worked with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

“The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election,” Barr wrote in a letter to leaders of the House and Senate judiciary committees.

Trump has insisted that Putin preferred Hillary in 2016.
