Donald Trump listens to many people for advice, but many of them have found themselves in trouble recently. Rudy Giuliani, for example, a key advisor for years, recently declared bankruptcy

Steve Bannon and Paul Manafort, the men who helped make his 2016 campaign go from sideshow to the White House, both have faced prison sentences

Kellyanne Conway has landed a nice gig as a television commentator on Fox News.

But, through thick and thin, Donald Trump has shown one old adage is true: blood is thicker than water. His son, Don Jr. has remained one of MAGA’s key voices, and that voice is currently shouting one thing: No to a potential Vice President Nikki Haley.

The New York Post writes

Donald Trump Jr. drew a line in the sand for his father in the veepstakes: no Nikki Haley.

The former president’s son doused cold water on the notion that former President Donald Trump would select his former UN ambassador as a running mate. Trump Jr. was adamant about flexing his clout to ensure Haley did not get the position.

“I wouldn’t have her and I would go to great lengths to make sure that that doesn’t happen,” he told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling in a recent interview.

“Nikki Haley wants never-ending wars. She’s a puppet of the establishment in Washington, DC. She’s the new favorite candidate of the billionaire class because they want control— no different than academia and Harvard and using their billions to exercise influence.”

The former president’s son joins a chorus of Trump supporters who began throwing cold water after reports stated that Donald Sr. had begun calling for advice about whether or not he should select Nikki Haley as vice president.

Politico reported that “the fervid effort to kill off Haley’s veep buzz before it truly takes off has come as the former U.N. ambassador and ex-South Carolina governor is gaining momentum in the Republican primary. It has prompted speculation she’d be a logical choice as a running mate for Trump, who has maintained a wide polling lead and remains the strong favorite for the Republican nomination. Her rise has caught the attention of the former president, who has recently quizzed people outside his campaign for their impressions of Haley, according to three people familiar with the conversations.

‘What do you think of Nikki?’ Trump has asked.

But Haley has been the subject of his most recent focus.

Haley’s polling surge has alarmed some staunch Trump confidants who are acutely aware that the former president pays close attention to survey data.”

Another prominent MAGA supporter has joined Don Jr. in his effort to end the prospect of having Donald Trump’s UN Ambassador pick get a promotion to second in command. Tucker Carlson said that he would not only NOT vote for Trump-Haley, he would advocate against voting for the ticket.

According to Carlson, adding Haley to the Trump ballot would be “poison” to his campaign.

“I mean, here’s someone who’s actively opposed to the interests of the country I grew up in, who endorsed the BLM riots, and who is not left, but is neoliberal in the darkest, most — speaking of nihilist — nihilistic way, and has no real popular supporters, is a creature of the oligarchs,” Carlson explained. “So yeah, that would be reason to oppose the ticket.”

When Pool asked once again if “even Trump-Haley is a no-go?” Carlson doubled down.

“I just can’t imagine a world where that could happen,” he said. “That would be so crazy. Anything could happen of course, but picking Nikki Haley, who’s utterly treacherous and utterly dismissive of like, the interest of Americans, yeah,” noted The Federalist.

Haley may be less concerned about the VP than most MAGA supporters. She’s essentially tied in New Hampshire with the former president, who has not put much of a campaign staff together during the primary, which may spell trouble for him if Haley and DeSantis have strong Get Out The Vote operations next month.
