Key Liberal Group Gives Ultimatum To Joe Biden Over Israel

Over the past few weeks, Democrats have come to see that the only people their coalition hates more than Republicans may be themselves. The party has seen its base fracturing as liberals in the party believe that Israel has a right to defend itself from terrorism, while the party’s left flank has revealed an antisemitism problem

Now the pro-Palestinian left, which has been sparking violence across the country in “protest” and intimidated Jewish students on campuses across the United States, has given Joe Biden an ultimatum. Choose us over Israel or lose next November.

The National Muslim Democratic Council, a nationwide group of Democratic leaders and activists, threatened President Joe Biden that if he does not force Israel to reach a ceasefire with Hamas, a U.S. State Department-designated foreign terrorist organization, by 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, they will work to mobilize against him in the 2024 presidential election, writes Just The News.

“It has become evident that our voices are being ignored, but our votes will not be. Simply put, as Gaza turns red, so could crucial battleground states,” the council said in a letter Monday to the White House and Democratic Party.

“Your administration’s unconditional support, encompassing funding and armaments, has played a significant role in perpetuating the violence that is causing civilian casualties and has eroded trust in voters who previously put their faith in you,” the group also wrote.

“We will mobilize increased voter turnout to make our voices heard,” the council also wrote. It added that Michigan, a swing state with a large Muslim population that went for former President Donald Trump in 2016, went for Biden by 2.6% in 2020.

Since the outbreak of the conflict following the slaughter of civilians by Hamas, “the Squad” in Congress has shown an antisemitism that some left-of-center Americans have found shocking.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, for example, has “refused to apologize Wednesday for saying a day earlier that Israel is to blame for the hospital explosion that day in Gaza, despite evidence from the U.S. defense department that the blast was likely caused by an errant projectile from Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

A number officials in the US and around the world blasted Israel for what they believed was an attack on a civilian facility that left hundreds dead. But claims and evidence began to suggest that the Gaza hospital blast was likely caused by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket that fell short of its target, two U.S. officials told ABC News. Still, what has happened has not conclusively been determined.”

The congresswoman from Michigan has gone as far as to threaten President Joe Biden during an unhinged rant about “feeling unsafe” because the White House stands with Israel.

Tlaib was recently accused of having fundraising ties with Hamas, which the United States designated as a terrorist group decades ago.

Meanwhile, Rep. Ilhan Omar, who once claimed that Israel has “hypnotized the world,” recently tweeted out an insane video touting conspiracy theories about the country.

Fox News reported that the “far-left ‘Squad’ members voted against a resolution Wednesday to condemn the “barbaric” Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists.

H.R. 771, which reaffirms America’s support for Israel as it responds to the attack, received overwhelming bipartisan support and passed by a vote of 412-10 with six members voting present.

The 10 members voting against the resolution included six of the eight “Squad” members: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., Summer Lee, D-Pa., and Cori Bush, D-Mo. They were joined by Reps. André Carson, D-Ind., Al Green, D-Texas, and Delia Ramirez, D-Ill.”

For his part, the president “has said Israel has a right to defend its citizens but should protect innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza who are victims of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Reuters noted.

“Gaza health authorities say that 8,525 people, including 3,542 children, have been killed in Israeli attacks since Oct. 7. U.N. officials say more than 1.4 million of Gaza’s civilian population of about 2.3 million have been made homeless.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday he would not agree to any cessation of the attacks on Gaza. U.S. national security spokesman John Kirby said, “Hamas is the only one that would gain from that right now.”

The White House will likely shrug at the National Muslim Democratic Council’s threats. What exactly are they going to do? No one thinks they would actually vote for Republicans, right?

It’s not as though prior to the outbreak of violence in Israel that socially conservative Muslim communities in the United States were beginning to view the Democratic Party’s obsession with “wokeness” as a reason to move away from them.
