Fauci Sweating As COVID Patient Zero Identified

Anthony Fauci is facing more scrutiny over the way he handled the outbreak of COVID-19 and how he appeared to work strenuously to shut down the theory that the disease that killed tens of millions worldwide was developed in a lab in China.

A newspaper in Australia is claiming to have identified patient zero, and no, it wasn’t some poor soul who decided to have a nice big bowl of bat soup after visiting a Wuhan wet market.

The Daily Telegraph reported the bombshell news. “According to new reports this week three separate Chinese government officials have all named scientist Ben Hu, who was in charge of gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as the first human to be infected with the new disease.

The well sourced report confirmed earlier reporting that the Covid pandemic had its origins in a Chinese virology lab at Wuhan, a story that was first broken by The Daily Telegraph’s Sharri Markson.

Ms Markson would eventually go on to write a book, What Really Happened in Wuhan, which detailed the work Ben Hu and fellow scientist Shi Zhengli researching bat coronaviruses and their potential to infect humans.

Led by Fauci, anyone who claimed to believe that the origins of COVID-19 happened in a lab was deemed a “conspiracy theorist.” He went so far as to have colleagues draft a sham letter attacking the lab-leak idea.

Not the authors of that letter are backtracking. The millions of dollars of grant money in their pockets and Anthony Fauci off collecting the largest pension in the history of the federal government

David Strom at Hot Air explains why this is a big deal: Again, the only thing shocking about this report is that our government officials and the MSM have worked so hard and been so successful in hiding these facts from the public. The US government has known about this for 3 years, and despite that fact, the public health establishment has kept denying its relevance.

There is no innocent explanation for the denials that emanated from our government. When virologists contacted Dr. Fauci explaining that their research suggested that COVID was engineered, Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins berated them and assigned them to write a paper denying that very fact. When they did so Fauci rewarded them with millions of dollars in research grants.

Now the authors of that paper admit that they may have gone too far–as in, they were totally wrong. Each has told the BBC that their conclusion may have been premature.

That’s not what they were saying until about 5 minutes ago. They insisted as late as this March that a lab leak was a conspiracy theory.

What has changed is that the story is completely unraveling.

Soon you will find all sorts of people backtracking as the evidence finally comes out into the open. Fauci and company coerced and bribed these guys–they got $9 million grants to change their minds–and now the evidence of a lab leak is pretty hard to dispute. So along with others, they will blather about having “gone too far” or how they misjudged the evidence.”

The blogger Ace of Spades explained why Fauci had reasons to lie about the lab leak. He may very well have funded its creation. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency “rejected the grant to his buddy Peter Daszak to study the “furin cleavage sites” on the SARS virus at Wuhan, [an aspect of the coronavirus that made it so transmissable]. And after Obama ordered an end to funding gain-of-function, Fauci rewrote the rules and gave another grant, from the NIH, to Daszak to re-start gain-of-function research.”

The grant money that Fauci changed the rules to grant also went to Ben Hu, patient zero in Wuhan.

“In March 2018, the WIV, the EcoHealth Alliance, and the University of North Carolina applied for a $14 million grant from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Project Agency DARPA to engineer “furin cleavage sites” into SARS-like coronaviruses to study how this affected their ability to grow and cause disease,” according to an investigation. .

“Scientists say the key piece of the COVID-19 virus, which made it so transmissible compared to its closest relatives, was its unique furin cleavage site.

Hu co-authored multiple papers on coronavirus research, including a 2017 paper on chimeric bat coronaviruses with Peter Daszak, the head of EcoHealth Alliance, which was funded in part by the NIH and the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats PREDICT Program. Data privately shared with the NIH revealed that these chimeric SARS-like viruses grew far more quickly and caused more severe disease in humanized mice in the lab.”

No wonder Fauci refused to hand over his emails.

The revelation about patient zero comes as one of the most powerful Democrats in the House of Representatives took to floor to argue that children under two years old should have been required to be masked.
