Hillary Clinton Calls For Creepy ‘Deprogramming’ Of Political Opponents

For all his foibles, Donald Trump can be universally thanked for keeping Hillary Clinton out of the White House. Earlier in the week the former senator and secretary of State reminded everyone how terrible she is.

In a recent interview with CNN, Clinton ranted about Trump supporters and appeared to argue that Republicans who back the former president should be put into re-education camps.

There are many things political leaders in a democracy should not do, but at the top of the list is sounding like Pol Pot.

The Hill writes, “Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton railed against supporters of former President Trump during a new CNN interview, comparing those who still support the former president after the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection to members of a cult.

“Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members,” she said in a clip released late Thursday.

“And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure,” Clinton added. “He’s only in it for himself.”

She predicted Trump will likely be the 2024 GOP presidential nominee, and she believes President Biden can beat him again.

“One will wreck our democracy. One violates the law on a regular basis. One appeals to the worst in our collective psyche. The other gets things done,” she said in the interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “Why is that a hard choice?”

Clinton was then by Christiane Amanpour asked how she has “processed” the reality that Trump, who defeated her in 2016, is seeking the White House again despite his legal battles.

“It’s a classic tale of an authoritarian populist who really has a grip on the emotional, psychological needs and desires of a portion of the population,” Clinton said. “And the base of the Republican Party, for whatever combination of reasons — and it is emotional and psychological — sees in him someone who speaks for them, and they are determined that they will continue to vote for him, attend his rallies, wear his merchandise because for whatever reason, he and his very negative, nasty form of politics resonates with them,” reported Fox News.

“Maybe they don’t like migrants, maybe they don’t like gay people, or Black people, or the woman who got the promotion at work they didn’t get, whatever the reason,” Clinton continued.

The Washington Post revealed that Trump is doing better than ever with minorities. “Either former president Donald Trump’s standing in early 2024 polls is inflated, or we are headed for a sizable realignment in how non-White voters cast their ballots.

Multiple polls in recent weeks have shown Trump performing historically well among Black and Hispanic voters in head-to-head matchups with President Biden, helping put him neck-and-neck with Biden in a way he rarely was during their 2020 matchup.

Across five high-quality polls that have broken out non-White voters in the past month, Trump is averaging 20 percent of Black voters and 42 percent of Hispanic voters.

Both numbers — and especially that for Black voters — could set modern-day records for a Republican in a presidential election. Trump in 2020 took just 8 percent of Black voters and 36 percent of Hispanic voters, according to the Pew Research Center’s validated voter survey. Exit polls pegged those figures at 12 percent of Black voters and 32 percent of Hispanic voters.”

Clinton’s comments emblemize the recent trend among Democrats to justify their own consolidation of power against their political enemies in the name of “saving our democracy.”

Like Mark Milley’s undermining of the president and contacting China because he disagreed with Trump’s policies, Clinton is performing her role in the cycle of anti-democratic totalitarianism that has captured a large portion of the liberal elite.

It’s become such conventional thinking among their circles that many liberals will literally say things like Clinton, “that there should be formal deprogramming of Trump supporters,” and not even realize what they’re saying.

The results have led to the growing acceptance among Democrats of policies that can only be tyrannical.

As New Conservative Post reported last month, nearly one-third of Democratic voters (34%) say Americans have “too much freedom.” This compared to 14.6% of Republicans. Republicans were most likely to say Americans have too little freedom (46%), while only 22% of Democrats feel that way. Independents were in the middle in both categories.

“Long before Clinton complained about Trump voters to CNN, members of the current regime including President Joe Biden, his White House, Democrats in Congress, Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and other officials named Trump voters and “domestic extremism” or other coded words used to disparage them as the nation’s biggest threat. Their collective campaign against what they deemed Republican wrongthink has manifested in the political prosecution of their No. 1 political opponent and his supporters, according to The Federalist.

“A new report from Newsweek alleges that the FBI is singling out supporters of Republican frontrunner former President Donald Trump as domestic extremists. FBI data reviewed by the publication specifically suggests “nearly two-thirds of the FBI’s current investigations are focused on Trump supporters and others suspected of violating what the FBI calls ‘anti-riot’ laws.’”
