Hunting Stand Found With Direct Shot At President

Federal authorities are investigating a concerning discovery near Palm Beach International Airport after security personnel found a raised hunting platform overlooking the area where former President Donald Trump typically exits Air Force One.

The U.S. Secret Service spotted the structure last Thursday during a routine security sweep ahead of Trump’s planned visit to South Florida. The agency quickly referred the matter to the FBI for further investigation.

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the platform remains unlinked to any known individual, according to Fox News. “Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” Patel told Fox News Digital. “No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”

Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said the agency is coordinating closely with the FBI and local authorities. He noted that the discovery was part of standard pre-arrival safety protocols. “There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location,” Guglielmi explained. “While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures.”

A law enforcement official speaking anonymously said the structure appeared weathered, suggesting it may have been in place for months.

The investigation comes amid renewed scrutiny over threats to Trump’s safety. The incident follows the recent conviction of Ryan Routh, who was found guilty of attempting to assassinate the former president at his Palm Beach golf club. Routh, 59, had hidden in nearby vegetation with weapons and faced multiple charges, including attempted assassination of a prominent political figure.

Earlier this year, Trump survived another attempt on his life when he was grazed by a bullet during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

A recent wave of research has raised alarms about a disturbing shift in left-wing political culture, particularly among younger Democrats. A study by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), conducted with Rutgers University, identifies the rise of an “assassination culture” on the American far left. This emerging ideology not only justifies but increasingly romanticizes political violence, especially through memes and ironic slogans shared widely on platforms like BlueSky.

Survey data shows that 55% of left-leaning respondents found the idea of killing former President Donald Trump “somewhat justified,” with 48% expressing similar views toward Elon Musk. Moreover, 39% supported the idea of destroying Tesla dealerships in protest. These views, far from being fringe, are becoming normalized in progressive online communities.

Parallel research from 2022 by the Southern Poverty Law Center found that 44% of young Democratic men supported political assassination, making them the most supportive demographic of such acts.

Officials have not disclosed further details about the stand or any possible threat it posed. Still, the discovery has heightened concerns over security measures surrounding the former president, underscoring what appears to be a leftwing activist set that continues to see violence as the only solution to losing power.
