New York Governor Makes Racist Statement

There are times when Democrats will reveal who they are really, and usually, when they do, it’s not pretty.

The Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul is under fire for a recent interview in which she claimed that African Americans in the Bronk do not know what a computer is.

The New York Post writes that Hochul, speaking at an on-stage forum in California Monday, stuck her foot in her mouth while trying to explain how she wants to create a diverse workforce in new areas like artificial intelligence.

“Right now we have, you know, young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is,” Gov. Kathy Hochul blabbered into a microphone Monday.

“They don’t know, they don’t know these things. And I want the world opened up to all of them,” she continued.

Hochul made the remarks at the Milken Institute Global Conference Monday where she was primarily discussing her $400 million Empire AI initiative that recently passed as part of the state budget.

Hochul’s remarks received immediate condemnation from politicians who represent the Bronx.

Democrats have shown disregard for the intelligence of black voters for years, however. The governor’s comments merely echo what Joe Biden claimed that African Americans would be confused by online registration for COVID-19 vaccines.

During a town hall on CNN, Biden gave a rambling answer to vaccine access by claiming that “a lot of people don’t know how to register. Not everybody in the community, in the Hispanic and the African-American community, particularly in rural areas that are distant and/or inner city districts, know how to use…Know how to get online to determine how to get in line for that COVID vaccination.”

During the 2020 campaign, Biden famously claimed to be the arbiter of “blackness,” telling African American supporters of Donald Trump that their vote for the Republican that they “ain’t black.”

Throughout his term, Biden has seen a “mass exodus” of black staff in the White House. In 2022, Politico reported, “At least 21 Black staffers have left the White House since late last year or are planning to leave soon. Some of those who remain say it’s no wonder why: They describe a work environment with little support from their superiors and fewer chances for promotion….The departures have been so pronounced that, according to one current and one former White House official, some Black aides have adopted a term for them: “Blaxit.”

In March, a New York Times poll sparked “concern among some liberal pundits worried that President Biden is losing Black voters – historically a very Democratic voting bloc – to Trump.

According to the new numbers, 23% of Black voters support President Trump as of Feb. 2024. That number is a massive increase from where his Black support was in Oct. 2020, at 4%.

A more recent poll showed Biden only winning 64 percent of the black vote, which is far lower than the 87 percent he won in 2020.

Things have gotten serious enough for Biden that his campaign has relied on tech giants to censor his ad targeting African American voters:

The move will likely lead to more investigations from Jim Jordan’s committee on the weaponization of government. Last week, the Republican-led committee released “an interim staff report titled, “The Censorship-Industrial Complex: How Top Biden White House Officials Coerced Big Tech to Censor Americans, True Information, and Critics of the Biden Administration.” The report details the monthslong campaign by the Biden White House to coerce large companies, namely Facebook, Google, and Amazon, to censor books, videos, posts, and other content online. By the end of 2021, Facebook, YouTube, and Amazon changed their content moderation policies in ways that were directly responsive to criticism from the Biden Administration.

After reviewing tens of thousands of emails and nonpublic documents between the Biden White House and Big Tech, the Committee’s report reveals:

  • Big Tech changed their content moderation policies because of the Biden White House
  • The Biden White House’s censorship targeted true information, satire, and other content that did not violate the platforms’ policies
  • The Biden White House’s censorship campaign had a chilling effect on other speech
  • The White House had leverage because the companies had other policy concerns involving the Biden Administration
  • The Biden White House pushed censorship of books, not just social media

While the Biden White House’s pressure campaign largely succeeded, its effects were devastating. By suppressing free speech and intentionally distorting public debate in the modern town square, ideas and policies were no longer fairly tested and debated on their merits.”

For her part, Hochul has claimed that she regrets her racism.
