Yet Another Biden Family Member Received Money From China

The number of figures associated with Joe Biden who received millions of dollars from foreign entities seems endless. We all know about the alleged corruption of his son, Hunter, and his brother, James. A House investigation revealed that the president’s daughter-in-law, Hallie Biden, received a huge chunk of change from a Chinese energy company.

The Washington Times reports that “Biden family members received more than $1 million in payments over a three-month period after the Chinese wire transfer cleared, according to a memo detailing the payments issued by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

Several payments were also sent to companies associated with Mr. Biden’s brother James Biden and son Hunter Biden in addition to Hallie Biden. An unknown account identified only as “Biden” also received transfers from the company owned by Hunter Biden associate Rob Walker in the months after the $3 million wire cleared in 2017.

‘From the bank records, it appears that the Biden family received approximately one-third of the money obtained from the China wire,’ said the memo from committee members investigating the Biden families’ business deals around the world.

Bank records obtained by the committee show that Hallie Biden received two payments in 2017 totaling $35,000 from Mr. Walker’s company after he received the multimillion-dollar payment from State Energy HK Ltd., a Chinese company, on March 1 of that year, months after Mr. Biden ended his term as vice president.

The head of the committee investigating that shady transactions, James Comer of Kentucky, wrote that he was unsure why Hallie Biden, “publicly reported to work as a school counselor,” received such a large payment connected to a Chinese energy company.

He said, “The oversight committee is concerned about the national security implications resulting from President Biden’s family receiving millions of dollars from foreign nationals. We will continue to follow the money trail and facts to determine if President Biden is compromised by his family’s business schemes and if there is a national security threat.”

Hallie Biden is the widow of Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015, and the mother of two of the president’s grandchildren, Natalie and Robert Hunter. She dated the president’s other son, Hunter, from around 2016 to 2019, a timeframe that included the Chinese dealings,” The New York Post noted.

‘Democrats described our subpoena as providing nothing more than records for Papa John’s and Starbucks, but they failed to mention the records we’ve received documenting the Biden family’s business schemes,’ Comer told The Post, referring to committee ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin’s disclosure of the subpoenas this week.

“Over the course of several years, members of the Biden family and their companies received over $1.3 million in payments from accounts related to their associate, Rob Walker,” Comer said. “Most of this money came as a result of a wire from a Chinese energy company and went not only to Hunter and James Biden but also to Hallie Biden and an unknown ‘Biden.’”

Comer added, “It is unclear what services were provided to obtain this exorbitant amount of money.”

More than a third of the $3 million that Walker’s firm received was forwarded to Biden family associate James Gilliar and “almost the exact same amount,” $1,065,000, was distributed among Biden family members over three months, the committee memo says.”

In February one of Hunter Biden’s peers who served as an advisor to a CECF was arrested in Cypress and claimed that he’d been captured on Biden’s behest. Gal Luft, a think tank leader from Israel, said that the arrest followed him going to the FBI with information about the Bidens partnering with a “front” for the Chinese Communist Party.

Luft’s lawyer claims that his client has information that could “bury” Hunter Biden.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that “Gal Luft, the co-director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, says he provided information about Hunter Biden, his father, and his uncle, Jim Biden, to the Justice Department in March 2019. Luft served as an adviser to CEFC China Energy, a conglomerate that ‘aligned itself so closely with the Chinese government that it was often hard to distinguish between the two,’ according to CNN. The group, which donated at least $350,000 to Luft’s think tank, paid Hunter Biden at least $6 million in 2017 to procure energy investment deals in the United States.

While Luft’s claims might otherwise be easily dismissed as a bluff, his connection to CEFC China Energy suggests he may know something about the Bidens. And an American lawyer for Luft has signaled he will provide information to Congress about Luft’s case.”

The Washington Post confirmed Hunter’s connections with the communist energy conglomerate. “While many aspects of Hunter Biden’s financial arrangement with CEFC China Energy have been previously reported and were included in a Republican-led Senate report from 2020, a Washington Post review confirmed many of the key details and found additional documents showing Biden family interactions with Chinese executives.

Over the course of 14 months, the Chinese energy conglomerate and its executives paid $4.8 million to entities controlled by Hunter Biden and his uncle, according to government records, court documents and newly disclosed bank statements, as well as emails contained on a copy of a laptop hard drive that purportedly once belonged to Hunter Biden.

But the new documents — which include a signed copy of a $1 million legal retainer, emails related to the wire transfers, and $3.8 million in consulting fees that are confirmed in new bank records and agreements signed by Hunter Biden — illustrate the ways in which his family profited from relationships built over Joe Biden’s decades in public service.”
