Hunter Biden Invited To Testify In Public Like He Asked

For months, the crown prince of the Biden family has demanded that he be allowed to testify under oath in public before the House Oversight Committee.

In December, Hunter defied a subpoena from the House, instead he “insisted to a gathering of reporters that he wants to testify publicly and not in a private meeting, as Republicans demanded in a subpoena. And he teed off against GOP investigators like Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.), accusing them of having ‘impugned my character’ and ‘attacked’ members of his family.

‘Here I am, Mr. Chairman, taking up your offer when you said we can bring these people in for depositions or committee hearings, whichever they choose. Well, I’ve chosen. I’m here to testify in a public hearing today to answer any of the committee’s legitimate questions,’ Hunter Biden said at a press conference near the Capitol.

‘Republicans do not want an open process where Americans can see their tactics.…What are they afraid of? I’m here. I’m ready,'” he said, according to Politico.

Hunter has finally gotten what he wished for.

Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer invited Hunter Biden on Wednesday to testify alongside his former business associates Devon Archer, Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis, according to a press release obtained by the Daily Caller. The hearing, titled “Influence Peddling: Examining Joe Biden’s Abuse of Public Office,” is set to occur March 20th and will seek to examine President Biden’s involvement in his son’s foreign business dealings.

“Given his repeated calls for a public hearing, we fully expect him to appear for a scheduled hearing on [March 20th] alongside his former business associates,” a source familiar told The Daily Caller.

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed the first son in November in an effort to have him attend a closed-door deposition regarding his foreign business dealings. Hunter Biden instead chose to stage a press conference outside the Capitol on Dec. 13, the day of the scheduled closed-door deposition. While standing in front of the Capitol, the first son denied that his father ever played any part in his business dealings and noted that he would testify publicly, an offer his lawyer previously suggested to the committee. Hunter Biden also criticized Republicans for bringing an impeachment inquiry against his father, President Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden later agreed to testify behind closed-doors on Feb. 28.

During his private testimony, the son of the president appeared to confirm one of the biggest accusations lobbied against his father.

Breitbart received exclusive access from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to what happened behind the closed doors of the interview and the Georgia. The congresswoman claims that the Crown Prince of the Biden Family admitted that he aimed to cut Joe in.

‘At one point, we asked Hunter about the ten percent for the ‘big guy’, Greene said. “We showed him the email laid it all out.’

‘And he said, ‘Oh, that was after my father left office,’ Greene recounted from the deposition.

‘What’s wrong with having a pie-in-the-sky idea? When he [Joe Biden] left office in 2017, it thought he was done. I had no idea was gonna run for president. What’s wrong with just some pie?’ … thinking that he [Joe Biden] could be in the business.’”

“Evidence obtained in the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry reveals Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family cashing in on the Biden name. Multiple witnesses have testified Joe Biden allowed his family to sell him as ‘the brand’ around the world to enrich the Biden family. Joe Biden met with nearly all of his son’s foreign business associates; attended dinners with foreign oligarchs who collectively funneled his son millions of dollars; spoke on speakerphone with his son’s foreign associates, telling those who did business with his son to be ‘good to my boy;’ and had coffee with his son’s Chinese business associate. The Bidens’ pay-to-play scheme is corrupt, and Americans demand accountability,” said House Oversight Chairman James Comer about the new invitation to Hunter.

“During our deposition and interview phase of the investigation, Hunter Biden confirmed evidence about Joe Biden’s involvement, yet his testimony conflicts with other witnesses’ testimonies. Given the President son’s repeated calls for a public hearing, I fully expect Hunter Biden to appear for a scheduled Oversight Committee hearing on March 20, alongside Biden family business associates. The American people deserve the facts about the Biden family’s corrupt influence peddling and Oversight Republicans will work to ensure accountability and press for answers to inform legislative solutions to prevent this abuse of power,” he concluded.
